Clinics and Waiting Rooms

Calm, quiet waiting rooms and treatment rooms. Soft acoustic panels that lower the echo and make the space feel a lot less clinical.

Waiting rooms carry sound

Clinics, dental offices and spas tend to have hard, easy-clean surfaces, and those surfaces carry sound. Conversations at the front desk travel across the waiting room and the whole place feels louder and more stressful than it needs to.

Acoustic panels soak up some of that echo. The room gets quieter, conversations don't carry as far, and people waiting feel more at ease. They don't replace proper sound blocking between rooms, but they help a lot inside each one.

Designs that calm people down

For these spaces we lean on soft, gentle designs: waves, linen, leaf shadows, quiet horizon bands. See the business panels, or our landscape and botanical art if you'd like a proper picture on the wall.

Good places to start

If you're not sure where to begin, these are popular picks for this kind of space: Calm Sea Horizon, Drifting Feathers, Eucalyptus Sprigs and Gentle Waves. Each one comes as a single panel or in packs of 4, 8 or 12, so you can do one wall or the whole room.

Questions people ask

Will acoustic panels soundproof the room?

No. Acoustic panels absorb sound inside the room, so there's less echo and it's easier to talk and hear. They won't stop noise going through walls, floors or doors to the space next door. That takes building work.

How many panels do I need?

It depends on the size of the room and how hard the surfaces are. A good start is a pack on the biggest bare walls, spread out rather than bunched in one spot. If it still sounds lively, add more on the facing walls. Tell us the room size and we're happy to help you guess.

Are the panels fire rated?

We're still confirming fire testing with our maker. If your building or inspector needs rated panels, contact us before you order and we'll tell you exactly what we can and can't promise.
