Big cities are loud, but the pictures we keep of them usually aren't. It's the view from a bridge early in the morning, or the rooftops at dusk from a hotel window. That's the feeling we went for here: the famous landmarks, drawn our own way, in soft fog, pastel mornings and warm evening light.
So no busy postcards, no neon and no signs. Just the shapes you know, like the Eiffel Tower, London's clock tower, the Colosseum and the New York skyline, in calm colours that sit nicely with wood, linen and white walls. They suit a downtown condo, but they look just as good in a farmhouse kitchen or a house in the suburbs.
For a single panel, Paris Rooftops is the dreamiest, Westminster Morning is the calmest for behind a desk, and Venice Canal is the warmest.
For a longer wall, Brooklyn Bridge Morning and Rome at Golden Hour each spread across three panels. And if you want the whole wall, Manhattan Nights is the city lit up under a full moon.
Every piece is printed on a sound absorbing panel. Condos and city apartments tend to have hard floors, big windows and bare walls, which is a recipe for echo. A soft panel on the wall takes the edge off, so voices and the TV sound a bit softer and the room feels more settled at the end of the day.
Bigger pieces absorb more, so a 3-panel set or a wall mural does the most in an open room. If you'd rather have somewhere quieter on the wall, have a look at our landscape collection.
No, and anyone who says so is stretching it. Acoustic panels absorb sound inside the room, so there's less echo and it sounds softer and calmer. They won't stop noise coming through the walls from the neighbours. For that you need building work, not art.
No, they're original drawings. We drew each landmark ourselves in a soft, painted style, so they feel more like a calm memory of the place than a tourist photo.
Westminster Morning is the quietest single panel, so it won't pull focus on video calls. For a wider wall behind a desk, Brooklyn Bridge Morning as a 3-panel set fills the space nicely.
