Beach

Palm trees, warm sand, turquoise water and rolling waves. Beach art in soft, sun faded colours for a room that feels like a holiday.

A holiday on the wall

Most of us only get a week or two at the beach each year, and then it's back to grey skies and snowbanks. These designs are a way to keep a bit of that feeling around all year: warm sand, palm shade and water that's a colour you only see on vacation.

We kept the colours soft and a little faded, like an old holiday photo. Sand, turquoise, coral and pale sky. Bright enough to cheer up a room, calm enough that you won't get tired of it. They look just as at home in a downtown condo as they do at the cottage.

Pick your piece

For a single panel, Palm Shadows is the quietest, just fronds and shade on a sunny wall. Beach Umbrellas is the most cheerful, and Seashell Collection is tidy enough for behind a desk.

For a longer wall, Tropical Shore and Rolling Wave both spread across three panels. And if you want the whole wall, Endless Beach is a shoreline that just keeps going.

Calmer to look at, calmer to listen to

Every piece is printed on a sound absorbing panel. Living rooms and bedrooms with hard floors and big windows tend to echo, and a soft panel on the wall takes the edge off that. Voices and the TV sound a bit softer, and the room feels more relaxed, a little like the beach does.

Bigger pieces absorb more, so a set or a mural does the most. If you like a looser, more abstract take on the shore, have a look at our abstract collection too. And for more cottage country water and long summer days, try the summer collection.

Questions people ask

Will acoustic panels soundproof my room?

No, and anyone who says so is stretching it. Acoustic panels absorb sound inside the room, so there's less echo and it sounds softer and calmer. They won't stop noise coming through the walls from the neighbours. For that you need building work, not art.

Will beach art look out of place in a city home?

Not really. The colours are soft and a bit faded, so they sit nicely with wood, white walls and neutral furniture. It reads more like a calm holiday memory than a souvenir shop.

Which beach design is best over a bed?

Palm Shadows is the quietest single panel. For a wider bed, Tropical Shore or Rolling Wave as a 3-panel set fills the space nicely.
